FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: stepper motor (1) contains stator (2) with the winding consisting of separate coils (3) located on its teeth (4). Rotor (5) contains electric conductive part (6) that is made in shape of the cylinder with diametral slot (7) along all active rotor length filled with insulating substance. In the upper part of teeth (4) of the stator (2) there are two loops (8) outputs of which are connected, for example, with reed relay contacts, coils of which are connected to commutating device. Central parts of teeth are shielded by short-circuited loops (9) that are located transverse to two loops and are located in the upper part of stator teeth. For start of the rotor step commutating device opens the loop shielding the left part of the last tooth of the initial row and for the end of step it opens the loop on the first tooth of the row, opens the loop shielding the left part of the third tooth of the initial row and closes the loop shielding its right part while closing the loop shielding the left part of the tooth following the last tooth of the initial row.
EFFECT: rotor stabilization in axial (transverse) direction.
