FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: access terminal is moved from current access point to the new access point, it sends short request of the service transfer to the new access point. Short service transfer request may include ID of access terminal; it does not include the ID of access point. New access point then can sent to the authenticator its identifier and access terminal identifier. Using previously generated main intermediate key, access point identifier and access terminal identifier, the authenticator can form main session key. Main session key then can be sent to the access point using authenticator. Access terminal independently generates the same new protective key using which it can reliably interact with the new access point.
EFFECT: decreased waiting time.
