FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of catalysts for chemical and petrochemical industries to be used in conversion of alcohol to obtain pollution-free power carriers and promising chemical products. Proposed dehydration in the presence of composite catalytic selective membrane wherein cermet composite is sued as said membrane material produced by thermal treatment of porous metal substrate at 700-750°C by vapors of molybdenum oxides unless substrate metal molybdate is produced in amount of 2-45 wt % with respect to membrane weight. Either stainless steel or nickel is used as said porous metal substrate.
EFFECT: oxidative dehydration of methanol by means of membrane that features activity, stability and mechanical strength.
