FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to ice breaker-type ships without special planning forms. Ship fore end is formed by the surface right and left sides jointing at stem and represents ship sharp edged stem with flared outlines. Water lines of fore end of the ship theoretical body line, in the range of variation of designed water line for all ship draughts, that adjoin the stem, feature break with crest directed outward and located at, at least, 0.05 of minimum ship water line width from the ship midplane.
EFFECT: efficient ice breaking due to improved shape of fore end.
