FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: flax seeds refinement method involves removal of phospholipids, free fatty acids, colouring substances, soapstock separation from treated oil and treated oil filtration. Removal of phospholipids, free fatty acids and colouring substances is performed by way of successive treatment of unrefined flax seeds oil at a temperature of 20-30°C with water solution of citric acid with concentration of 5-8% in an amount of 1-3% of the oil weight and water solution of sodium silicate with concentration of 135-145 g/l in an amount of 2.0-6.0% of the oil weight.
EFFECT: refined oil yield increase at substantially lower energy and auxiliary materials expenses.
