FIELD: fat-and-oil industry. SUBSTANCE: process comprises mixing unrefined vegetable oil with aqueous solution of hydrating agent, exposing resulting mixture to air, treating it with aqueous alkali agent solution, and separating thus refined vegetable oil from sediments in centrifugal and gravitational force field. Above-mentioned exposition is conducted for 0.5 to 2.0 h, after which mixture is consecutively treated with aqueous solution of acid reagent and aqueous solution of sodium silicate with density 1.05-1.35 g/cu.cm followed by exposition to air, all stages of process being conducted at 15 to 35 C. EFFECT: improved quality characteristics due to more extensive removal of phospholipids, waxes, and wax-like substances, increased yield of desired product, reduced power consumption, and weakened auxiliary operations associated with necessity for wash water treatment. 9 cl, 4 tbl, 4 ex
