FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: windwheel comprises several tiers equipped with blades and joined to each other by bearing circular elements, which are connected to a hub by pre-stretched ropes as elastic damping elements. Ropes form one or more periodical structures, in every of which some ropes outgoing from the above circular elements towards the hub, are inclined relative to the horizon upwards, and the remaining part is inclined downwards. Besides, inclinations of ropes to the horizon in various periodical structures differ to ensure separation of ropes of various structures in space. To ensure resistance of the windwheel to torsional oscillations and their simultaneous damping, continuations of lines in half of ropes of each periodical structure pass at one side from the axis of windwheel rotation, and continuations of lines of the other half - at the other side from the axis of rotation. All ropes during operation of the windwheel and in its idle condition remain in stretched condition.
EFFECT: reduced effect of oscillating component in aerodynamic forces acting at windwheel blades and torques acting at the windwheel hub, and via the hub to the bearing units, the support base and the mast under all wind modes.
