FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balancing the vertical windmill wind wheels consisting of the hub and the ring equipped with blades secured thereto in two tiers. Proposed method comprises the following balancing steps. Wind wheel blades are assembled so that difference in weight of blades in every tier does not exceed 0.15%. Hub is arranged horizontally relative to axis of rotation. Temporary bars are attached to hub axle. Produced assy is lifted and placed by rods at supports. Blade attachment rings are placed at the hub. Vibration generator is placed at hub axle. With the latter running, balancing is carried out in three steps at selection and installation of weights. First, balancing is performed with blade attachment rings and, then, with attached upper tier blades. Then, balancing is performed with lower tier attached blades so that, at every step, the assy revolved by had can stop at whatever position from 0 to 360 degrees. Note here that every balancing step terminates in installation and attachment of definite-weight weights at required position. Proposed method is performed at standard bearing support without the use of balancing machine and with no friction of rest.
