FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of diagnosing the state of bee families based on their audible noise involves amplification of the audio signal picked up by a microphone. Further, output signals are processed using narrow-band frequency filters in the most informative frequency bands of that signal, and then analysed using a block of comparators, at the output of which parallel binary codes are formed, which are converted to spectrum patterns. When determining the state of bee families based on their audible noise, during the diagnosis time (from 2 to 10 minutes), the obtained binary codes are recorded in form of octal codes and a table of the frequency of occurrence of these octal codes is made. In order to increase information content based on the obtained bit codes, spectral patterns (rearrangements) and posterior entropy (average amount of information) is calculated, taking into account the obtained code message for n and calculated levels of spectrum patterns (rearrangements), spectrum patterns (rearrangements) are determined for n+1 larger dimension while giving distribution which will yield average information corresponding to the new code distribution.

EFFECT: high accuracy, reliability and number of determined states of bee familities.
