FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic oscillations are excited in an article using a probing signal. Echo signals are received and stored in a storage, and parameters of the inspected article are determined based on the pulse accumulation result, wherein 2N, where N is a whole number greater than zero, pulses which are phase-shift keyed by complementary Golay codes are emitted into the article, where the first N radio pulses are modulated by a first Golay sequence, the second N radio pulses are modulated by a second Golay sequence, and each radio pulse of the received signal is optimally filtered before storage.
EFFECT: high sensitivity and reliability of inspection.
