FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: antenna array is used. It consists of N=2k transducers, a set of N/2 split signals are used as sounding devices. The transducers of the antenna array are functionally divided into two equal halves, independently and simultaneously supplied to the first N/2 of antenna array elements of N/2 split-signals, used as emitting. The second N/2 elements of the antenna array are used as receiving transducers. Ultrasonic echo-signals are received from the control object, the realizations of ultrasonic echo signals are registered, then each half of the set of transducers is repeatedly split into halves. The first halves of the converter set are used as emitting, and the latter - as receiving transducers. The Split signals are independently and simultaneously emitted and echo signals are recorded. This process is repeated until in each half one transducer remains, then all registered echo-signals are optimally filtered and optimally filtered signals are used for the point-by-point construction of an image of the internal structure of the controlled object.

EFFECT: reduction of the number of radiation stages of the sounding signal required for the construction of a C-scan.
