SUBSTANCE: system has a product with an electronic control unit for recording and/or storing product information in memory, the product information consisting of standard and current product information, with a component for creating a bar-code for displaying product information. The device for creating the bar-code is linked with the product for transmitting data or is built-into the product, with a device for updating the bar-code based on the standard and current product information, and also has a database with a storage device for storing the current information in memory, a recording module with an image capturing device for optical recording of current product information, obtained based on the updated bar-code, and a data radio transmission module connected together with the image capturing device to the database for wireless transmission of current product information.
EFFECT: easy access to product information for switching during servicing, maintenance and other tasks.
