FIELD: physics, optics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to inspection technology, particularly used in ophthalmology. The method involves setting the relative position of time-synchronised apparatus for detecting images of an object in space. Images of segments of the object from different positions of image detecting apparatus are obtained. The spatial position and orientation of segments of the object are estimated and recorded, and the image of the object as whole is reproduced from the obtained images of the segments of the object. During reproduction, the image of the object is transferred to a visually perceptible carrier. Each image detecting apparatus is autonomously oriented to a given segment of the object. Processing of incoming images is carried out for those images whose parameters satisfy predetermined segments. A coordinate system is formed, which is directly tied to the image detecting apparatus. Coordinates of the region where the segments of the object lie in space relative the formed coordinate system are determined and recorded. Reproduction of the image of the object as a whole is carried out based on not less than three different images of given segments.

EFFECT: use of the present group of inventions enables passive, remote determination of the spatial position of eyes.
