FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: user indicates control positions and creates conditions for the onset of stimuli thereon at a different time. To issue instructions, the user focuses on the control position, waits for the stimulus and, upon seeing the stimulus, makes an eye gesture. User eye movement is detected and analysed and the eye gesture is detected and analysed. At the beginning of the eye gesture, a stimulus in response to which it was issued and the corresponding position are determined, and an instruction associated with said combination of eye gesture and control position is issued to a control device.
EFFECT: enabling detection of user instructions issued by looking without the need for precise determination of spatial coordinates of the look and providing a considerable angular distance between control positions, and without the need for the user to focus at given positions.
