FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to endocrinology. In order to determine glucose concentration in blood, in the morning, on empty stomach, systolic and diastolic arterial pressure is measured successively on patient's left and right hands. Ratio n of the greatest of measured values of systolic arterial pressure on left and right hands to the lowest of measured values of diastolic arterial pressure on left and right hands is registered. Concentration of glucose in blood is determined by ratio n by calibration characteristics. Calibration is carried out apriori on the borders of adaptive range for patients with known glucose content and registered ratio n, by which maximum ratio n0 of systolic pressure to diastolic pressure and maximum content of P0 glucose content in blood are found, which are used to build calibration characteristic for determination of real content of glucose in blood P by formula, mmol/l: where n0 = (n2 - n1) / ln(P2 / P1) and and P1 and P2 are known values of glucose content in blood, n1 and n2 are registered ratios of systolic pressure to diastolic pressure for known values P1 and P2, k=n1/n2.

EFFECT: method increases metrological efficiency of determining glucose concentration in blood by arterial pressure due to elimination of methodical error.
