METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF RECURRING RESPIRATORY PAPILLOMATOSIS BY ARGON-ENHANCED PLASMA COAGULATION Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to otolaryngology, and can be used in surgical treatment of recurring respiratory papillomatosis. Method lies in impact on papillomatotoc enlargement of larynx by argon-enhanced plasma coagulation. Under intubation anesthesia with artificial lung ventilation direct microlaryngoscopy is performed at support laryngoscopy. Flexible probe (d=2.3 mm) is introduced into laryngoscope tube for direct and lateral application. Application is performed in mode of argon-enhanced plasma coagulation on apparatus FOTEK EA 141 in mode spray 30 W. Impact is performed only on affected parts with period 10-15 s until thin scab is formed.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to reduce risk of trauma, nearly completely eliminate bleeding and scar formation, which ensures significant reduction of pain syndrome in post-operation period, reduction of hospitalisation and rehabilitation terms, therefore longer remission.
