FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology and can be used in setting up a data channel to facilitate control of movement on railroad sections with tunnels. The system has an antenna in form of a transmitting cable laid along the tunnel, a base station and a wireless modem mounted on the railway engine, a controller connected to a control device, a unit for picking up control signals and a coding module. The railway engine is also fitted with a second wireless modem and a decision device which is connected by some inputs/outputs to outputs/inputs of the controller, and by others to outputs/inputs of the wireless modems, one of which is meant for generating a first channel and the other for generating a second channel. The first channel used is a GSM-R/GSM digital cellular duplex wireless communication system channel in the (876-925) MHz frequency range, and the second channel is a simplex wireless communication channel in the (151.7-156) MHz frequency range. A first amplifier for the signal of the second channel and the base station, which can relay the relay the signal of the first channel, are installed at one end of the tunnel and are connected through a suitable combiner to the end of the transmitting cable. A second amplifier for the signal of the second channel and a matched load are installed at the other end of the tunnel and are connected through a suitable combiner to the other end of the transmitting cable. Combiners with corresponding matched loads are connected in the intentional gap of the transmitting cable.
EFFECT: high reliability of transmitting data in systems for automatic control of train movement in tunnels.
