SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of construction materials and specifically to compositions of additives for construction mixtures which can be used as plaster, spackling and assembling mixtures. The additive for construction mixtures contains lime scum - a sugar industry waste, heated to temperature between 130 to 280°C, held at said temperature for up to 4 hours and cellulose ester in the following ratio, wt %: said lime scum 89.3-99.5, cellulose ether 0.5-10.7. The additive can also contain at least one additional active ingredient selected from a group comprising redispersed polymeric powder, water-soluble plasticising, air-entraining, hydrophobisation, rheologic and dispersing additives.

EFFECT: high moisture retention capacity of the mixture.
