SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing gypsum binder and can be used in the industry of construction materials. In the method of producing gypsum binder, involving dehydration of gypsum, mixing with an additive - defecation mud, which is a waste product from sugar production, before mixing, the defecation mud is first heated to temperature between 114 and 260°C and then held at that temperature for 4 hours.
EFFECT: slower setting of gypsum binder.
