SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making gypsum binder and can be used in the industry of construction materials. In the method of making gypsum binder, which involves dehydration of gypsum, mixing the gypsum with defecation mud additive - sugar production wastes, the defecation mud is preheated to temperature not higher than 400°C before mixing and the additive is used in the following ratio of components, wt %: gypsum 50-99.5, defecation mud 0.5-50.
EFFECT: considerably slow setting of the gypsum binder, possibility of controlling setting time of the binder, increased strength of the binder.
