FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises cylindrical housing annular chamber built in said housing, working shaft with rotor fitted thereon and in housing, power sources, igniters and slide shutter. The latter are fitted inside aforesaid housing to divide said annular chamber into working chambers. Working chambers include invariable cross section expansion chamber, pressure chamber and gas discharge system arranged downstream of expansion chamber. Pressure chamber adjoins expansion chamber on the side of the housing cylindrical surface. Gas discharge chamber is made up of openings arranged in working chamber walls. Piston are rigidly fixed along the edges of encased rotor. Pistons are arranged in aforesaid annular chamber and furnished with surface to isolate pressure chamber from expansion chamber. Igniter is arranged on aforesaid surface.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability.
