SUBSTANCE: display panel has a plurality of first scanning lines; a plurality of first data lines; a plurality of first thin-film transistors, a plurality of liquid crystal pixel units, each controlled by the corresponding first thin-film transistor, and a built-in photodetector module which detects light and generates a multi-bit digital signal corresponding to light intensity. The display panel has a light-detection control circuit for generating at least one control signal and a read enable pulse for the built-in photodetector. The first thin-film transistors are located at points of intersection of the plurality of first scanning lines and the plurality of first data lines, and each of the first thin-film transistors is connected to the first data line and the scanning line.
