SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method and apparatus for synchronisation and elimination of phase ambiguity of signals of communication systems with channel time-division, where a signal is demodulated and correlated with a unique synchronisation signal word, and in which, after demodulation, in-phase and quadrature channel signals are summed, and after correlation with the unique word and one of its modifications, comparison is performed in threshold devices, and the comparison results are used by a decryption device to synchronise the decoder in order to eliminate phase ambiguity for signals with absolute phase-shift keying. The apparatus has a coherent demodulator of phase-shift keyed signals, a shift register, an adder, two digital correlators, four threshold devices, a decoder and a decryption device.

EFFECT: elimination of phase ambiguity of signals without deterioration of noise-immunity of the decoder.
