METHOD OF COMPLEX TREATMENT OF URINARY BLADDER CANCER Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncourology and can be used in treatment of urinary bladder cancer. After urinary bladder resection catheterisation of umbilical artery from the side opposite to urinary bladder resection is performed. Additionally ligated is internal iliac artery on the side of umbilical artery catheterisation. For this purpose peritoneum of pelvis minor is dissected at the level of bifurcation of common iliac vessels. Way of internal iliac artery is observed. Place of uterine artery origination from internal iliac artery is determined. After visualisation of uterine artery trunk, with 1-2 cm indent from it in distal direction, internal iliac artery is ligated. After that integrity of pelvis minor peritoneum is restored. In the particular case after catheterisation of umbilical artery arterial catheter is brought out on abdominal wall through a separate cut aside from laparotomic wound. In the particular case IACT is started on operation table and continued in post-operation period, day dose of medication is introduced continuously by means of medication doser for 10-12 hours daily during 2-5 days.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to preserve high concentration of introduced anti-tumour medications for sufficiently long time, as it prevents release of medicinal solutions by vascular branches, to increase terms of medication contact with remaining part of urinary bladder and contributes to increase of treatment efficiency.
