FIELD: medicine, surgery.
SUBSTANCE: intestines are estimated visually by colour of serosa and pulsation of blood vessels. The borders of the viable part of intestine are determined additionally by aerated blood stream pulsating from dissected appendix epiploica. For this purpose three appendices epiploica located align lengthwise the axis of intestine are dissected sequentially. The first appendix epiploica is located on the cross level of mesenterium. The second appendix epiploica is located at 1-2 cm from the first appendix epiploica. The third appendix epiploica is located at 1-2 cm from the second appendix epiploica in a distal direction. If aerated blood stream is pulsated from the bases of three appendices epiploica, colon viability on the level of mobilisation is determined. Intestine is tied up in a distal direction from the third appendix epiploica on the level of graft viability end.
EFFECT: enhancement of estimation reliability and objectivity of colonic graft viability.
