FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutics. A composition contains a biologically active protein-polypeptide complex taken as an active ingredient in the concentration of 0.01-2.0 mg/ml, prepared of fast-unfrozen embryo brain of farm hoofed animals in their gestation period from the middle of the one-third to the middle of the last one-third of pregnancy. The brain is homogenized in a buffer solution containing EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetate); the homogenate is separated from ballast substances by filtration and centrifugation. Proteins and peptides are separated by column chromatography in an anion-exchange chromatographic tube balanced by the buffer solution, with a step gradient of the buffer solution, by ultra-filtration, desalination and sterilisation filtration. The prepared protein-polypeptide complex contains negative subacid, neutral proteins and polypeptides applied to growth factors, differentiation, signal molecules specifying its biological and pharmacological activity with molecular weights within 5 to 200 kDa. At least 80% of total protein weight has molecular weight within the range of 10 to 120 kDa. The protein-polypeptide complex is characterised by the presence of a peak at wave length 274-284 nm in UF-visible spectrum and the presence of bands within the range of pi values within 4.2 to 8.4 at isoelectric focusing in 5% polyacrylamide gel. The composition contains a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.
EFFECT: composition possess evident reparative-regenerative action on nervous tissue.
