SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry, particularly to using an eucalyptus extract for making a drug preparation or a food additive for treating and/or preventing diseases and pathologies due to disturbed dopamine and/or serotonin and/or noradrenalin reuptake. The use of the eucalyptus extract for producing the drug preparation or the food additive for treating and/or preventing neurological, psychiatric pathologies and diseases and related disorders due to disturbed dopamine and/or serotonin and/or noradrenalin reuptake, wherein the eucalyptus extract contains at least one compound of formula (I) or any of its diastereoisomeric forms:
