SUBSTANCE: described are condensed tropanic derivatives of formula I: wherein X and Y together form =O,=,NOR³,=CR³R⁴, either one of X and Y is hydrogen an the other is -OR⁵,SR⁵,-NR⁵R⁶; Z is hydrogen; R³ and R⁴ are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, phenyl (lower alkyl) or -(CH₂)_q-COOR²; R²,R⁵,R⁶ are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, - CO-(lower alkyl), phenyl (lower alkyl) or -SO₂-(lower alkyl); R¹ is lower alkyl or phenyl optionally substituted by halogen, CF₃, CN, lower alkyl or nitro; n is 1 or 2; q is 0. Said compounds are useful as medicinals having properties of inhibiting reverse capture of neutromediatory monoamines in central nervous systems.
