SUBSTANCE: invention refers to psychiatry and urology, and can be used to select a therapeutic approach to chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Total blood serotonin and daily dopamine excretion are analysed. If observing a decrease in the level of total serotonin and standard indices of daily excretion of dopamine, a course of antidepressant venlafaxine is prescribed. If observing the increased daily excretion of dopamine and standard or increased values of the total serotonin level, an atypical neuroleptic Quetiapine is prescribed. In case of combined disturbance of neurotransmitter systems with reduction of total serotonin level and increase of daily excretion of dopamine prescribe combination of preparations: antidepressant Venlafaxine and atypical neuroleptic Quetiapine. In case of normative indicators of total serotonin and daily dopamine excreting, cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy and hypno-concussive therapy with self-hypnosis and relaxation training are prescribed.

EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness in chronic pelvic pain syndrome by selecting a differentiated therapeutic approach taking into account pathogenetic mechanisms.
