SUBSTANCE: in the method, which is based on determining the position of mobile ground-based objects in autonomous mode, where the last known coordinates obtained by processing satellite signals from navigation systems are recorded, motion parameters of the objects are measured and geographical coordinates are calculated. According to the invention, the direction angle is measured by a turn indicator, the angle of elevation is measured by an accelerometer and the radial speed is measured by Doppler radar speed metre, coordinates of the object in a Cartesian coordinate system are calculated and the position of the mobile ground-based object in the geographical coordinate system is determined by scaling.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities and higher accuracy of determining coordinates.
