FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: self-removable label can be attached to a substrate. The disclosed label contains a front heat-shrinkable material which can be subjected to suitable and reproducible degree of shrinkage at given temperature so as to separate the label from the substrate. The degree of shrinkage is controlled by the chemical nature or orientation of the material. The label also contains an intermediate layer for attaching the label to the substrate. The shrinkage profile is set such that an asymptotic curve is provided at a certain temperature, where further shrinkage does not take place at higher temperatures.
EFFECT: easy self-removal of the label only carried out through the effect of heat.
