FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a speaker device for improving sound quality of a first small speaker. The assembly has a resonator which is acoustically connected to the first speaker. The second speaker is also acoustically connected to the resonator, where the first and second speakers are excited in phase with each other. The first speaker can be a headphone-type speaker which is adapted to hold onto the ear of the user, while the second speaker can be a large speaker for signalling calls with acoustic compliance which is less than that of the first speaker, wherein both speakers are part of the mobile telephone.
EFFECT: owing to excitation of the second speaker in phase with the first speaker, the second speaker plays sound through the first smaller speaker in the low frequency range.
