FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. Active cannula systems comprise a number of telescopic pre-formed nitinol tubes. The tubes are configured and sized so that to achieve a target location in a specific anatomic region. A 3D image of the specific anatomic region is read out. Arches between a point of the anatomic region and the target location are sequenced. The sequenced arches are used to derive an active cannula path. This path is used to configure and size the number of tubes. The active cannula systems are designed to achieve relatively small and complex target locations.
EFFECT: facilitated minimally invasive surgical procedures.
