FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and metallurgy and can be used to extract alumina from kyanite concentrate. The kyanite concentrate is mixed with apatite concentrate and coal. The obtained mixture is sintered at temperature 1400-1450°C. The weight ratio of apatite and kyanite concentrate is equal to 3:2. Phosphorus apatite concentrate is converted to gas phase. Alumina is leached from the formed sinter using an alkaline solution at temperature 240-280°C.
EFFECT: invention provides about 96% extraction of phosphorus into gas phase and about 95,4% extraction of alumina into the alkaline solution.
