SUBSTANCE: composition of the substance for retaining the radiation and protection against it, which contains chemically combined ceramic matrix on the basis of oxide-phosphate and radiation protective material in which radiation protective material is dispersed in matrix of chemically combined ceramic cement on the basis of oxide-phosphate, and radiation protective material is chosen from the group consisting of barite, barium oxide, barium sulphate, cerium oxide, tungsten oxide, gadolinium oxide, depleted uranium oxide, annealed lead glass in the form of powder and fibres with lead content of 40% to 75%, zeolites, clinoptilolites and celestines. Radiation protective composition of the substance, which contains chemically combined ceramic matrix on the basis of oxide-phosphate, which has cationic component showing the ability of radiation protection, and radiation protective material chosen from the group consisting of powder, aggregate and fibre in which radiation material is dispersed in chemically combined ceramic matrix on the basis of oxide-phosphate.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows providing effective composition to be used in structural members which show the ability of radiation protection.
