FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of sintered ceramic material and can be used in dental and medical technology. In the proposed zirconium oxide based material, the content of tetragonal zirconium oxide is between 94 and 96 vol% and the tetragonal phase is chemically stabilised. Chemical stabilisers used are Sm2O3 and/or Gd2O3 or a mixture of said oxides and the proportion of Sm2O3 and Gd2O3 is between 1 and 5 mol% in each case with respect to the content of zirconium oxide. Said material also contains a second basic component in a volumetric amount between 4 and 6 vol%, which consists of strontium aluminate or lanthanum aluminate with a relative proportion of more than 80%.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is an increase in resistance to hydrothermal aging and the achievement of optimal mechanical properties in combination with reduced hardness.
