FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method to compensate distortions of amplitude-phase distribution of a field (APD) in an aperture of an adaptive antenna array (AAA) is based on application of an auxiliary antenna system in the form of a separate radiator arranged in a far-field region from AAA and radiating a reference signal in a working range of AAA frequencies. Amplitudes of the received reference signal and phase shifts in signals are measured for each separate AAA radiator, specified by effect of climatic factors in the form of a snow or ice cover on elements of its structure, with measurements of other radiators being disconnected at the moment. Amplitudes and phase shifts of received signals are compared for each of AAA vibrators with rated values, and control actions are generated to modify amplitudes and phases of signals picked at the outputs or supplied to the inputs of the separate AAA radiators.

EFFECT: compensation of distortions of amplitude-phase field distribution in the aperture of the adaptive antenna array, specified by exposure to climatic factors in the form of a snow or ice cover on elements of its design.
