SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in systems for compensating the Doppler frequency shift in radio channels, as well as in radio equipment for measuring the speed of an object. The holographic method for measuring the Doppler shift of the frequency of the radio signal additionally includes the use of a holographic measuring system based on a holographic interferometer to measure changes in the laser radiation frequency, the formation of a spherical wavefront of the coherent light flux emitted by the laser, the direction of this light flux to the reflective-transmitting Fourier hologram of the holographic interferometer, the formation of an interferogram by two light fluxes in the plane of the reflective-transmitting Fourier hologram of the holographic interferometer, projecting the interferogram into the projector zone of the measurement area, analyzing the parameters of the spatial-spectral distribution of the optical field intensity in the plane of the projected interferogram and phase changes in these parameters, and making a decision based on the results of this analysis on the numerical value Doppler shift of the frequency of the received radio signal.

EFFECT: reducing the probability of a bit error when demodulating multi-position quadrature radio signals in the presence of a Doppler frequency shift in the radio channel, as well as to increase the accuracy of the radio equipment for measuring the speed of an object.
