EXTENDED UPLINK FOR INACTIVE STATE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC H04W74/08 H04W16/06 H04W72/04

Abstract RU 2446637 C2

FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: method is suggested to support work with extended uplink in inactive state. User equipment (UE) can send access preamble for arbitrary access being in inactive state, and can acquire message including resources distributed for UE. Distributed resources can be selected by Node B from pool of resources which can be predistributed to Node B extended uplink. UE can send information (e.g. planning information and/or its own identifier UE) to Node B c using distributed resources. UE can accept acknowledgment addressed to UE based on UE identifier. UE can remain in inactive state and continue to use distributed resources until they are released. Alternatively, UE can change from inactive state to active state and either continue to use distributed resources or accept distribution of new resources for active state.

EFFECT: less signaling amount which increases communication system efficiency and decreases delay.
