QUICK CHANGEOVER FROM ONE CONDITION INTO ANOTHER ONE FOR USER EQUIPMENT WITH RECONFIGURATION BY PAGING Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC H04W68/00 H04W76/04 H04W8/24

Abstract RU 2437257 C2

FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to support quick changeover from a condition to a condition of UE, in which UE may operate in the first condition (for instance, the condition CELL-PCH), in which UE does not transmit and receive user data. UE may receive a paging message, containing the first configuration information, and may change from the first condition to the second condition (for instance, CELL-DCH condition) in response to reception of the paging message. UE may determine a set of communication parameters, based on the first configuration information received from the paging message, and the second configuration message stored on UE, and then may exchange user data based on the set of communication parameters. UE may use default values for some parameters in order to reduce amount of the first configuration information sent in the paging message.

EFFECT: provision of efficient changeover between working conditions of UE by means of configuration information transfer by paging.
