SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics. Distal osteotomy of fibula is started below the level of fixation of anterior tibiofibular ligament. Then it is continued front to back upward between anterior and posterior tibiofibular ligaments in frontal plane. Osteotomy is completed above attachment of upper level of posterior tibiofibular ligament. Distal fragment of fibula together with unaffected posterior tibial-fabular ligament after dissection of anterior tara-fibulare ligament is rotated outward. Fissure of ankle joint and talus are determined visually. When all necessary surgical manipulations on components of ankle joint and talus are finished, bone fragments of fibula in area of osteotomy are accurately matched to each other and fixed by means of one of submersible fixers. Anterior tara-fibular ligament is restored.
EFFECT: method ensures increase of accuracy of fragment reposition and carrying out their osteosynthesis in correct position during reconstructive-restorative and stabilising operations, without injuring tibiofibular ligaments.
