MULTILAYERED WOVEN CONSTRUCTIONS FOR OCCLUSION OF VASCULAR DEFECTS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61F2/01 A61F2/90 A61F2/06 A61B17/00 A61B17/12

Abstract RU 2446773 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to intravascular devices for correction of some medical states and, in particular, relates to narrow profile intravascular occlusion devices for correction of inherent defects, including defects of antreal and ventricular septa(respectively ASD and VSD), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and patent foramen ovale (PFO), as well as conditions, which result from previous medical procedures, for instance, paravalvular leak (PVL) after surgical recovery of replacement of valve. Collapsible medical device contains external structural layer, surrounding, at least, one internal structural layer. Each layer contains multitude of woven metal strands. Device has extended preliminarily specified configuration, which contains proximal and distal end sections of geometric form, coaxial with central part of geometric form between them. At least, one end section and central section are connected with, at least, one connecting segment with area of transverse section smaller than area of transverse section of each of end sections and central part in such a way that, at least, one end section and central part are made with possibility to rotate around, at least, one connecting segment. In the second version of implementation collapsible medical device contains external tubular layer, surrounding, at least, one internal tubular layer. Each tubular layer has proximal and distal ends and central axis, passing between them. External tubular layer surrounds, at least, one internal tubular layer along entire circumference of, at least, one internal tubular layer, at least, partially between proximal and distal ends along central axis. Each layer contains woven metal structure. Device has extended, preliminarily specified configuration, containing proximal and distal end sections, of geometric form, coaxial with central part of geometric form between them. At least, one end section and central part are connected by means of, at least, one connecting segment with area of transverse section smaller than area of transverse section of each of end sections and central part in such a way that, at least, one end section and central part are made with possibility to rotate around specified, at least, one connecting element.

EFFECT: claimed device can be easily delivered on wire guide or by means of guided introducer in delivery device on the basis of narrow-profile catheter and is easily matched with multitude of various forms and sizes creating passage leakage, typical of mentioned cases of leakage through valves, without interfering with work of valve cusps.
