DEVICE FOR CLOSING A VESSEL LUMEN, A METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE AND A METHOD FOR ITS DELIVERY TO A TARGET AREA Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/12 A61F2/07 A61F2/82 A61F2/958

Abstract RU 2766867 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to medical equipment, and can be used to close a vessel lumen. Device for closing the vessel lumen is made in the form of a tubular structure with proximal and distal ends. Tubular structure is configured to be crimped in a folded state for delivery to the target portion of the vessel and return to the open configuration within the target portion. Tubular structure is made in the form of a balloon-expandable stent with a narrowed section at the distal end in an open configuration. Inside the stent there is a tube made of a sealing material fixed on the bars of the stent frame along the perimeter of the proximal edge and directly in front of the narrowed section at the distal end. Free section of the tube from the sealing material is tucked inside the above tube in the direction of the proximal end of the stent frame relative to the fixation point at the distal end of the stent frame. Method of making said device includes steps of making a stent, the structure of the distal end of which does not allow the said end to open to the level of the opened configuration of the main part of the stent; tube made of sealing material is placed inside the stent; fixing said tube on the stent frame beams along the perimeter of the proximal edge and immediately in front of the narrowed portion at the distal end; free portion of the tube of sealing material is tucked inside said tube in the direction of the proximal end of the stent frame of the tubular structure relative to the fixation point at the distal end of the stent frame of the tubular structure; device is squeezed into a folded state on a balloon catheter of the delivery system. Method of delivering said device to a target portion of a vessel, according to which it is advanced to said portion along a guidewire as a balloon-expandable stent.

EFFECT: object of the present invention is to create a device providing good delivery and guaranteed target implantation at the site, which does not require insertion of a delivery catheter into the area of implantation, id est advancing along the guidewire as a conventional balloon-expandable stent is delivered.
