SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in the process of initial training of skiing and snowboarding operation, in particular, to teach the control of speed and execution of carving turns. The method includes location of a teacher above the student on the slope, their descent and control while the descent of the teacher over speed and turning movements of the student through the tension of the right and/or the left control lines connected to the attachment points on the device for teaching turning in the form of a belt that fixed on the student's body in the area of his hip joints. The device for implementation the method comprises the belt and the control lines connected to the device. The device also comprises leg girths connected with a belt through the front and rear supports, and serving to fix the device in the area of his hip joints of the student.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables to improve the safety of downhill skiing or snowboarding, as well as the safety and effectiveness of the learning process through continuous monitoring of by the teacher over the speed and movements of the trainee.
