FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fluid treatment hardware. Proposed reactor comprises cylindrical working chamber with spherical inner chamber and through channel, waveguide embedded in cylindrical channel and provided with aligned channels, and ultrasonic converters fitted on waveguide faces and equally spaced from sphere center. Waveguide surface is made up of 3D polyhedron while waveguide normal lines to its faces are directed toward reactor sphere center. Reactor inner chamber sphere diameter is multiple of even number of acoustic wavelength quarters and does not exceed half the wavelength in processed fluid while the distance from ultrasonic converter attachment facet to sphere wall along plane wave propagation is multiple of odd number of number of acoustic wavelength quarters in waveguide material.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of treatment, simplified design and reactor fabrication.
