FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to UV equipment intended for cavitation processing of fluids. Proposed reactor comprises flow chamber and radiator of ultrasound oscillations connected therewith. Said radiator represents variable-section rod. Note here that larger-section parts are arranged along the rod so that distances between centers of said parts make half the wavelength of ultrasound oscillations in rod material. Shape of transition between larger- and smaller-section parts can be linear, or radial, or exponential subject to preset direction of ultrasound oscillation radiation inside flow chamber. Flow chamber represents a hollow cylinder with its inner wall surface accommodating ultrasound reflectors made in the form of solids of revolution and arranged in symmetry about larger-section parts of the rod.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and uniform ultrasound treatment of fluids.
