FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to alloys for welding wire and can be used in making and repairing articles, as well as for pad welding sealing surfaces of articles made from copper-nickel alloys with 29-42% nickel content, which are used in sea water. Disclosed is welding wire for welding or pad welding articles made from copper-nickel alloy with 29-42 wt % nickel content. The welding wire is made from an alloy containing the following, wt %: nickel 34.0-43.0, iron 0.5-1.4, manganese 0.8-1.6, titanium 0.12-0.4, silicon 0.05-0.15, copper - the rest. Total content of reducing agents (Mn+Ti+Si) is not less than 1.1 wt %, and nickel content in the alloy of the wire is not more than that in the welded alloy by at least 1%.
EFFECT: welding wire alloy has good welding and processing properties, which enables to obtain quality welded joints or pad weld metal in pad welded articles with dense weld metal or pad weld metal, without cracks, pores and other defects.
