FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for hardening part surfaces in free-granulated fluid. Rattler is made up of multi-start screw column with part loading/unloading means. Said rattler consists of five or more strips coiled in vertical plane relative to lengthwise axis and interconnected by their lengthwise sides. Said strips feature variable-width convex curved shape and are coiled along screw lines on barrel-like mandrel to produce helical lines on rattler perimetre and helical convex surface with curvature centers located inside rattler and laps inside rattler representing screw blades arranged all over rattler length from loading side to unloading side.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and intensity of mixing.
