FIELD: manufacturing process.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer container with walls made of foam. The container containing microporous polymer foam, and nonreactive gas contained inside the microporous foam cells, and the container has a silvery appearance. The process of manufacturing the container contains an injection moulding of polymer preform having additives of nonreactive gas in the walls, cooling of the workpiece to a temperature lower the softening temperature of the polymer; the workpiece reheating to a temperature above the softening temperature of the polymer, and blow moulding of the workpiece for obtaining a container that contains microporous polymer foam including nonreactive gas inside the cells of microcellular foam.
EFFECT: invention enables to manufacture plastic opaque containers without addition of the dye.
