FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ozone generator and can be used in chemical industry and agriculture. The ozone generator includes a compressor (I), a high-voltage unit (II) and an ozone former (III), having a dielectric discharge tube (1) closed on both sides by plugs (2) with nozzles (3) and two electrodes (5, 6). The outer smooth electrode (5) covers the dielectric tube (1) from the outside. The inner electrode (6) is in form of a perforated cylindrical surface with a plug (7) and is inserted into the dielectric tube (1) with a gap (8). Pieces of a bare multicore cable which are twisted in the middle are inserted into each pair of holes in the electrode (6). The ends of the cable on the outer surface of the electrode (6) are spread into separate wires by a locking ring with loop diameter greater than the gap (8). The diameter of holes on the electrode (6) is equal to 1.2-1.3 times the cross-section of the cable.
EFFECT: generator increases efficiency of ozone generation by 23-27%, and reduces the value of high-voltage between electrodes by 1,5…2 kV.
